Colour matching system is designed to imitate DAY and NIGHT light, that is day and night lighting.

Daylight (from 3300 to 5300 degrees Kelvin) has a cool tone and displays the colour of the decor tone in real daylight. Night light (less than 3300 degrees Kelvin) has a warm tone and brings closer the decor looks at the use of artificial light.
