The Pinoles company was created in 1997 as the product of long-standing cooperation and experience of its founders in the wood industry. The first steps on the market of repro materials for the furniture industry were made all the way back in 1993 through cooperation with the DDL company, Kovinoplastika and some time later with the FALCO company. In the middle of 1999, the company began a new phase of operations, opting for cooperation with a new supplier, the leading European and world producer of wood based panels, the Austrian company KRONOSPAN. At that moment, Pinoles obtained a strategic partner and strong support from the leader in the field of production of wood based panels, while Kronospan obtained a loyal and dedicated partner which opened the door to the Serbian and Montenegrin market and some time later, through its sister company, to the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through this cooperation, Kronospan’s products first appeared on our market. Today, Kronospan covers 55% of the wood based panels market in Serbia and Montenegro, and of that, Pinoles, as the leading and largest distributor has a share of more than 50% of sales of Kronospan. This cooperation is complex. Being so, Pinoles is the only company in our area which sells all of Kronospan's products and acquires goods by railcar or semi-truck directly from factories in: The Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria. At the Construction Fair of 2002, we presented, together with Kronospan Bulgaria, a completely new item for that time on our market, OSB panels. Today, Pinoles covers 41% of the Serbian market for this item. In 2006 Pinoles purchased the complete HOMAG production line for wood-based panel furniture which was provides highest quality of service to its loyal customers. In January of 2006 we opened a furniture department store in Valjevo in cooperation with the Forma Ideale company, and in September a distribution center of wood-based panel materials in Niš. In March of 2007 we acquired a part of the cathode-ray tube factory within the framework of the company EI Niš and that is where we placed our central warehouse for this part of Serbia. In January of 2008 we opened a furniture showroom in Čačak with an area of 1,500 m². In April of 2008 we opened the most modern distribution center in this part of Europe with space for over 1200 palettes which has an area of 6,500 m² and is located next to our old warehouse in Nova Pazova. In May of 2008 we also opened a furniture showroom in Šabac. Today the company has 130 employees, revenue with Kronospan in 2007 totaling more than 20 million euros, which according to official data from customs, increased our market share in Serbia to 24% of the Serbian market for univer, 41% for OSB, 30% for ABS edging, 27% for raw chipboard, 13 % for counter tops, 14% for MDF panels, 11% for varnished HDF and 5% for laminated flooring.
