Raw chipboard is manufactured by pressing the bonded flakes. These panels consist of solid and coarse core and two outer layers of fine grained flakes. Raw chipboard is the basic material for the manufacture of panel furniture. Depending on their purpose, chipboard panels can be sanded and non-sanded. Moisture and fire resistant chipboard panels provide greater protection against moisture and fire. Melamine-faced chipboard panels and worktops are obtained by further refinement of chipboard panels by laminating them with decorative foils.

They are used in dry conditions for the manufacture of furniture, as structural furniture elements, for further veneering, foil and laminate finishing. It is characterized by high stability and easy processing.
