Plywood is obtained by cross-gluing an odd number of peeled veneers. This process provides required stability and strength to plywood panels. Veneer can be obtained from different types of wood (beech, poplar, birch, egzote), and can also be combined (middle layers made of one type, and external layers from another type of wood). In addition, plywood panels can be moisture resistant, waterproof, film faced or not. These panels have various purposes. Depending on the type of wood, thickness and quality, they can be used in construction, manufacture of furniture, manufacture of wooden accessories, shipbuilding, packaging ... Plywood is increasingly used for making structures for upholstered furniture and chairs intended for export.
